Jordan Heath, MA
Jordan Heath earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Oregon and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. She holds a License in Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC). Jordan has worked in a variety of urban and suburban communities throughout Los Angeles and Chicago and has provided psychological and counseling services to populations from early childhood through adulthood.
Jordan has specialties in the areas of social and communication skills, adaptive skills as they relate to spectrum disorders, as well as interventions with issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, grief, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder, and adjustment disorders. She has created curriculum to facilitate social and coping skills groups and has made numerous presentations to youth and families on issues such as anxiety and depression, the importance of early-intervention as well as behavioral and instructional intervention for young people with emotional disorders.
Other areas of interest include multi-cultural and diversity counseling, working with transitional age youth, consultation, program development, trainings and presentations to students, parents and other clinicians. She is also highly passionate about overall wellness and incorporating the arts into her clinical work to develop coping tools alongside clients. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they hope to accomplish.
